Changing seasons

Despite Summer probably being my favourite season, I do love this time of year with all the colours changing and evenings becoming longer and cosier. This time of year is a little bit quieter for us after the summer rush, but before the Christmas rush which is our busiest time of year. It’s a good time to reflect and take stock. We have a think about new products and new designs for existing ones, to keep things as fresh as possible. It’s also a great time to start thinking about Christmas! I’ve been designing and painting my Christmas card designs for 2023, which has been great fun! The cards are now available to buy at the gallery and we’re delighted to announce that 30p from each card sale is being donated to the Marine Conservation Society. My original designs for the cards will be available for sale at our late night shopping evenings, dates tbc! We hope to see you there and share a glass of something delicious and a mince pie.

In other news, Dave and I recently had a wonderful morning at Exeter Gin who craft our gin and rum. We were there for a tasting for our new limited edition Winter Warmer Spiced Caribbean Rum which will be available from around the beginning of November. We can’t wait to release this, it was so delicious! It’s infused with white chocolate, orange and winter spices, with notes of cinnamon. It tastes amazing with warm ginger ale on those colder nights, but we also love it neat or on ice as it’s so smooth.

Have you started your plans for Christmas yet? It always seems early to start just after summer is over, but it comes up so quickly I find!

We've given the gallery an autumnal makeover, so do come in and have a look! Our Winter Spice candles have just arrived too. The gallery is looking and smelling lovely!
