As dusk sets and a calm evening draws in, the Helen Claire - A Teignmouth fishing trawler, departs for a nights work under the stars. The moon rises and Sophie and Goose meander in their wooly hats, and the couple snuggle beside the lighthouse. I loved painting this Wintery scene and creating the colours for the pink and purple sky on this piece. It was painted to evoke cosy nights and the calmness of being by the sea.
