Forming part of a new series for 2023, 'The Sketch Book Series'. A slightly looser, more fluid style that I have initially captured while at each particular place.

I often ride out to Cockwood on my scooter/in my car and The Anchor Inn provides a perfect location to have a drink and a rest whilst watching the sun go down. I wanted to paint this charming village on the Exe estuary with its lovely tidal harbour at dusk, which is one of the most inspiring times of day for me. I love the pinks and purples the setting sun provide on a clear day, and the reflection of these colours in the water. Everyone is having a wonderful relaxing evening at this gorgeous spot.
